Within the efforts of the members of the Internal Security Agency to protect society and uphold moral and religious values…
The agency previously referred a suspect involved in promoting ideas contrary to Islamic Sharia through social media platforms to the competent authorities. These ideas included advocating relationships outside their lawful framework, promoting concepts leading to lineage mixing, as well as spreading immorality and moral corruption.
Culminating these efforts in the pursuit of justice, the Tripoli Criminal Court issued its ruling convicting the suspect to five years in prison, imposing a fine of six thousand Libyan dinars, confiscating the communication device used to commit the crime, closing the social media page used to disseminate immoral content, and depriving him of his civil rights.
The Internal Security Agency emphasizes its commitment to continue combating these intrusive practices that threaten societal stability and negatively impact morals and high values. It renews its determination to protect society from all actions that endanger its security and core values.
